About Cr Stock

What is the history of Christian Resources?

Christian Resource Centre International (CRC) began in Auckland in the early 1950s as Christian Resource Centre Studios, originally focused on radio broadcasting with a mission to provide communication resources that made Christ known worldwide. Over more than 70 years, it has evolved alongside changing technology, expanding from radio into a wider creative support role for Christian communicators, including visual artists, digital illustrators, videographers, photographers, and songwriters. Today, CRC’s history reflects a long-standing commitment to equipping Christian creatives in Aotearoa and beyond with the resources, opportunities, and encouragement needed to share faith through contemporary media.

Why CR Stock?

CR Stock helps charities, churches, and non-profit organisations access high-quality professional stock media they might not otherwise be able to afford. Beginning with a curated image library, and with video and audio to come, it connects generous media creators with organisations doing valuable community work. Contributors can choose to offer their media at discounted rates, or in many cases free, making it easier for organisations with limited budgets to communicate with professionalism, dignity, and impact. You can come back at any time to make more changes.

How does cr stock make its money?

CR Stock sustains its operations through a 20% commission on all sales. The platform is also open to commercial agencies and businesses at standard market rates, creating a way for the wider business community to directly support Kiwi charities through their media purchases. This commission is reinvested into the ongoing marketing, growth, and development of the site, helping expand both its reach and its impact.

As a registered New Zealand charity, we also welcome donations from individuals, agencies, and organisations who would like to further support the growth of the platform and the wider charitable work it helps make possible.

Is the focus just on NZ images?

CR Stock is proudly focused on Aotearoa New Zealand and the Kiwi creatives who capture its stories. All photographers and media contributors are New Zealand–based, ensuring the collection reflects authentic local places, people, and perspectives while directly supporting the country’s creative community.

Will CR Stock include video and audio?

CR Stock plans to steadily expand its media library beyond still images to include high-quality video and audio assets over time. This growth will give charities, non-profits, and commercial users access to a richer range of professional Kiwi-made content for storytelling across digital campaigns, websites, social media, presentations, podcasts, and broadcast. By widening the collection, CR Stock aims to become a trusted creative resource that helps organisations communicate with greater depth, emotion, and impact.
