I photographed this common garden pest at Awhitu Regional Park on the
Awhitu Peninsula early one summer’s morning just after the sun rose,
using my macro lens, during a short lived rainshower. I took a series of
images and was delighted to discover that in one of them, a raindrop
splashing on the insect’s nose had been captured.
